Pardon me, do you know the way back to the Interstate?

You see drivers from all over on the way to Mt. St. Helens!

What car is this?

It's a 1957 Nash Metropolitan-- Made in the UK to reflect the American Nash styling and to be sold by Nash dealers. It used the same running gear as many other British cars---Morris, AH Sprite.. the Austin A unit 1 litre. It had a manual tranny with the shifter on the column. A recent show in Tacoma, WA, where this car had just been, featured 200 of them. The owner replaced the original motor and transmission with a German manufactured Ford Pinto engine and automatic transmission. Nash did another UK Hybrid, the sporty Nash Healey, back in the early to middle 50's.
