Fred says NO MORE KA-BOOMS!

Reminder:   There are no harmful snakes in Western Washington State.  This little garden snake is less than 24 inches long.    He'd be holding his ears if he had something to hold them with.  Very loud fireworks tonight!

We have quite a lot of venomous snakes. And I suspect that they, and other wildlife are thankful when firework season ends.

I noticed the frogs in the pond start croaking much louder when the fireworks started. Maybe the frogs was trying to drown the noise out. Who knows.

I think they are amazing.

And beautiful.

I grew up with these garden snakes around. The do much more good than harm and should be protected. Yes, the 4th of July fireworks are always too loud.
