Brave cow taking shade in the bigger building. It looks as if only a puff of wind would send the timber crashing down.

Old structures well past their prime. Bill, you have a good understanding of the social forces at work in the rural areas, not just in your area, but in the whole nation. The same processes are at work in the Midwest. We have seen major migrations to urban areas, the only places with growing populations. The sad thing about industrial farming is that it is not sustainable in the long run, and their food lacks flavor and health benefits.

You find some absolutely amazing places! I hope you are planning on publishing a photobook of old barns and structures. Another great image!
