What???

I was a bit confused by this little train--  one engine, four tank cars, and a caboose!  Trains don't run with cabooses anymore! But then a friend explained that this was a fire train--  water in the tank cars, and crew in the caboose to fight fires near the tracks.  Oh.  Not something you see everyday.

Definitely not something you see every day (or in my case, have ever seen). Thank you.

It has been a long time since I have seen caboose in service.

Impressive resources available
must be good for preventing and preventing fires before they become too big

A very sensible use of these resources. Fantastic image and also that you managed to track down why they were on such a busy line.

This train could be on an HO train layout, except the water is just too good. Thank you for the explanation.
