Isn't it amazing! And I have no idea what this little flower in the woods is. I've never seen anything quite like it.

Thanks to Helen and Antonia, we have the answer!  Prunella Vulgaris--- Heal All!

I was hoping someone knew what it is.. I have not seen it before.

Just a gorgeous colour.
My photo app suggests it might be prunella vulgaris. The leaf looks very similar but I'm not sure of the flower. It depends on the angle at which you took the image.

I was justbreading this blog and a field of prunella vulgaris appeared. What do you think? [I had never heard of this plant before.]

What a pretty little flower! Looks like some type of penstemon.

La he estado buscando, en google. Este es el nombre que me ha salido
Nombre científico: Prunella vulgaris
Familia: Lamiaceae
Especie: P. vulgaris; L. 1753
Clasificación superior: Prunella
Tribu: Mentheae

Ignoro si será correcto.
Un abrazo.

What a stunning flower. I am so glad one or more of your viewers could identify it for us. I see it is also native here on the Great Plains, but I don't think I've seen it before.

Oui, Prunella vulgaris, Brunelle commune. Entre ses deux feuilles c'est un bijou de pierres précieuses...
