Ever since watching Cormorants dive for fish in China, I have had a fondness for these birds. We have them around here also, but they have already migrated to their winter places now.
I remember a few years back when the Wildlife Service killed so many of them and oiled their eggs too. I think it was cormorants in the Columbia. I like to sit near the boat basin in Hammond at the overlook of the Columbia and watch the boats go by, Coast Guard included. This is a beautiful photo, brings back so many memories of going to the affordable Astoria clinic with cats and spending the day out at the south jetty or in Hammond (watch out for Elk in the fall rut right in town).

Un buen entretenimiento para pasar el tiempo. Una bonita foto marina donde el cielo y el mar casi se confunden en un azul casi igual.
