Farewell to a great artist...

Thinking about Andre Previn. He scored movies at MGM while still in his teens. He was an amazing jazz pianist in his 20's -- 1956's "Shelly Mann and his Friends" is one of my favorites. He was a sought after concert pianist who was amazing with Barber, Poulenc, Mozart, Gershwin, Shostakovich and others. He began an outstanding conducting career in the first half of the 60s. He conducted great works with great orchestras. He composed violin concertos and even operas. He was 89. A great life.
