Here's an odd group-- Mama Mallard Duck (Third from the right) and her 11 almost-as-big ducklings are accompanied by a domestic goose. A typical Mallard female only weighs about 2 pounds, while a domestic goose like this one can easily weigh 20 pounds! 10 times the Mallard! Maybe the goose is like a favorite aunt.

For about two weeks each year, and if we're lucky, we get to see Grosbeaks! They're about the size of an American Robin, very colorful, and have large, finchlike beaks. There's one in the lower right corner of this picture. He seems to be looking at the old International Harvester tractor which someone has taken good care of over the decades.
