A starling estate...

Every year a starling pair builds a nest and raises a family in the hollowed out part of the back side of a fence post-- just up the road from our house.  The nest is only about 4 feet above the ground, but they seem to like it.  The fence post is behind the mailboxes in my picture from last Monday.

How lovely that they are obviously very comfortable there.

I focused a long time on this image trying to get the eye of a starling, and I think it's really a good place. And maybe they also understood that the neighborhood would be benevolent

Una historia preciosa acerca de esas aves que son capaces aún de fiarse de los humanos y hacen su nido a baja altura. La foto habla por si sola. Un abrazo amigo Bill.

Nice photo Bill. You made good use of the lighting, barb wire and the texture. ✰✰✰✰✰
