From Johnston Ridge, looking NNW towards Minnie Peak after the rain has passed. A tree that was blown down 40 years ago in the volcanic blast is surrounded by wildflowers-- including Penstemon Cardwellii and Indian paintbrush. Look closely and you can see the carcasses of blown over trees even on Minnie peak, about 8 miles away.

I like seeing the now...but think I would have not liked seeing it right after it happened. But I am not sure. Beauty from ashes, though.

La naturaleza es muy sabia y en cuanto se la deja en paz se regenera rápidamente. La fotografía tienen una gran perspectiva con ese primer plano que le da una gran profundidad al conjunto.
