Looking into the mouth of the volcano--- 40 years ago May 18th 1980 when Mt. St. Helens lost 1300 feet of altitude and a whole lot of its north side.

So beautiful. There was no Snow in Germany last Winter. It is such a wonderful contrast to the blue sky

Beautiful mountain landscape photo. Remember the Mt. Saint Helen blast well, and I was happy to live a long way from it.

I remember that. We had the National Geographic on it. I remember being quite scared as a kid (all the way in Australia). Hasn't kept me away from Volcanoes since tho...obviously didn't learn enough = ha!
