A sad story happened here in Colorado recently as an old cottonwood tree that was supporting an eagle's nest split in half and the nest and eaglet fell and it died. There was a public webcam on the nest online and many people were so sad to see this happen.

All part of the natural life cycle. That old tree may become home to a multitude of insects and birds. Life goes on.
