It was 40 years ago, a year after the mountain exploded, that we first saw it. We drove miles on a dirt track on the valley floor to the base of the mountain. It looked like the dark side of the moon. Now the animals and fish have returned, and the forests have begun their long journey of renewal. We never get tired of seeing it.

Wonderful.
I hope that journey of renewal continues. Forever.
Beautiful, the mountains with snow still on it, wonderful.
Uma bela e espectacular montanha.
Um abraço e bom Domingo.

Such a beautiful scene. It is difficult to understand that such a lovely mountain could have a negative side to her.
That must have been amazing to be there shortly after the mountain exploded. Nature has great powers of recovery.
What a view ! 🙂👍
It certainly is beautiful and forever changing I should imagine.
Forestes on the moon...
