Smoke from a distant fire-- At the end of the day, from a viewpoint 2000 feet above the Toutle River, the mountain is mysterious... At the base of the mountain, to the right, steam sometimes vents as well.

Mountains are often mysterious - and that one is majestic as well.

That smoke can linger in the atmosphere for weeks. Stay safe Bill.

What a gorgeous photo! I like the meandering river (foreground, leading my eye to the mountain) and the mysterious mist.

The smoke this year is terrible. We are a thousand miles away and our skies are hazy, and have been for weeks.

Mysterious goings on there on and near the mountain, however, it's a beautiful scene.
