There's some smoke around Mt. St. Helens-- The wildfires aren't close, but they are sending some smoke our way. We're looking east up the Toutle River Valley. Before the mountain exploded the river was hundreds of feet below where it is now.

Smoke or no smoke it is still one awesome view. Mountains always arouse my curiosity.
Nice to see your blog up and running again.

I am really sorry about the smoke - and hope the fires don't come any closer.

What a fantastic landscape.
It hurts my heart to see nature being devastated by fires. I am always wishing that they would be quickly extinguished.

The wildfires are a tragedy that is becoming more common. We have had smoky skies for about the last ten days. It is not as bad as it was last week, but the sky is white, no longer blue.

It looks a foggy scene. So sad to read it is smoke.
