East meets West--- This is where the dry side of the mountains meets the wet side as the Columbia River Gorge cuts through the Cascade Mountain Range. There are more trees, waterfalls, and clouds. And the change is quite noticeable, very quickly. Near the town of Hood River the wind is almost always blowing and windsurfers come from all over to take advantage. We are looking west in this shot. One last shot of the Gorge tomorrow...

Lovely sight Bill. I don't live near them so I always like to look at the mountains when ever I can.

Bill, I have been there years ago. Beautiful indeed and a sense of power. Love it.

I have heard of this spot for windsurfers. They must be experts to use all that wind. Fine action shot, Bill.

This is incredible. A clear change with foliage change from one side to another. The dramatic sky and the blue ocean all add to the splendour in the shot.
