One of my favorite subjects: This structure is all that's left of a larger building in the ghost town of Friend, Oregon, and I have taken many pictures of it. I don't know what it was-- perhaps a vault. But it's all that's left. Mt. Hood towers to the west.

this is a perfect picture. The frame, the layout within the picture. Nothing better to express the transience and ephemerality of our existence in the face of nature's grandeur. It is a melancholy view. Lives have passed by, people have built and then returned to oblivion.
Queda poco edificio en pie. Con asomarte a la puerta se puede ver su interior.
