That appears to be ice on that pond. It is now January and about time for some cold weather. We had a very mild December, and so far very little snow. But that may all change any time now.

We have our first snow this morning. Not quite as pretty as this.

Strangely I don't see cold in this photo. I am, however, fascinated by the tree shapes protecting the green.
