At the base of Mt. St. Helens, we're about 2000 feet above the Toutle River-- as seen from the Castle Lake Viewpoint. The greenery on the valley floor is stands of tall firs and hemlocks. Pictures can't show the immensity of the scene.

the landscape is breathtaking and the photo is absolutely splendid. It's the image of a giant asleep in the mist.

You are right. Those tall trees look like ground cover - and it is still an impressive (and beautiful) scene.

Wow, what an impressive landscape with all those mountains in the background, most impressive. You do get to travel to beautiful places.

La imagen es muy intensa, Bill. Las nubes que tapan parte del monte St, Helens le dan mas atractivo al paisaje. Así como esa mezcla de verde y amarillos del valle.
