The queen of the Cascade Range volcanic mountains-- Mt. Rainier is visible from only a few high spots near where we live. At 14,411 feet, Mt. Rainier is only 80 feet below Mt. Whitney, the tallest in the contiguous US. I love seeing it from this vantage point about 75 miles from the mountain.

Una excelente fotografía. El árbol del primer plano le da una gran profundidad y las nubes sobre la montaña crean una atmósfera de misterio.

Cubierto de nieve se ve todo el volcán. No creo que se pueda poner ahora en erupción.
Esas nubes son fabulosas. Se ve precioso el paisaje.

I didn't realize it comes that close to Whitney. But isn't there something about Whitney, that makes it not only a fairly easy climb but....I don't know what I'm thinking.
