Another ship-- this one headed to the Port of Longview, about 60 miles up the Columbia River. It will be loaded with logs for the Orient.

Una vez más ese primer plano bien elegido y el barco al fondo casi oculto por la espesa niebla. Buena toma Bill.
Un abrazo

Thank you very much, Bill. I spend a lot of time processing my photographs in the editing program. It keeps me entertained, and I enjoy spending time in front of the monitor until I'm satisfied with the result.
On the other hand, I've been taking photos since I was nineteen and looking at many photos by great photographers, but while this certainly helps, it doesn't make me a master of anything. Just a very conscientious amateur.
Thanks for sharing and commenting.

This image has a haunting, painterly quality that is truly captivating. A perfect capture of silence. The fog creates such a mysterious, 'frozen-in-time' atmosphere."

I used to love watching the ships pass on the Columbia from the Hammond small boat basin. There's a little park there that overlooks the river. The fog and the pilings reaching up out of the water makes it haunting

The fog gives your photo a sense of mystery. That ocean going ship must feel claustrophobic in the narrows of the river, but world commerce must go on.

Otra buena fotografía con el barco navegando entre la niebla como fondo.

There is such a great balance to this image of fog, tree, logs and ship.

Una imagen magnifica, con los troncos en primer plano y el buque al fondo, que se diluye en la niebla.
Un saludo.
