Oh look! There's a bigger one coming in! Surfing the Northern Oregon coast in January? Year-round, it's the waves that matter.

These young surfers must have wetsuits and a high tolerance for cold water. Makes me cold just to look at them.

For surfing, what really matters is having waves.
Great photo!

Surfing in January in Oregon is only for most daring. Horizontal stripes of light make the photo incredibly beautiful.

Pues tiene la oportunidad de esperarla y disfrutar de ella. Una bonita foto marina con ese mar alborotado.

The waves are fluffy and diffuse

Nice capture and it is the waves that matter, no point in surfing if no waves.

Of course! Can't miss a good wave!

With a thick enough wetsuit, why not? I used to kill time at the south jetty at confluence of the Columbia and Pacific, walk the dune trail back towards the beach and watch the surfers there. Seems a popular spot for them. Waves can be large there, that's for sure.
