The light is different on a sunny day in the middle of Winter. It's not the same as Summer, but it can be beautiful! This is in the hills of Eastern Washington State.

It's stunning. Those clouds are amazing Bill. :-D

I've had to get taxis to take my daughter to school the last few days and being outside my front door has made me look for photo opportunities and got some great skies. Yesterday was stunning! Hoping I can drive soon though. I have a manual car and it's my left ankle that broke, so the clutch foot. I think over your way it is all automatic cars yes?

La luz para quienes hacemos fotografías, siempre es hermosa porque nos permite capturar escenas del mundo y presentarlas a otros para que las admiren.

It’s the kind of place where you could drive for an hour and not see another soul, just the sun catching the tops of the tall grass. An amazing scene and photograph!

Wonderful landscape with all that tan grass, and the winding road. I see that the fields are still growing crops in the right season, but not now.

Love the clouds. The sky a lovely contrast to the brown rolling fields.

La luz hace iluminar y brillar las amarillas praderas, las nubes blancas resaltan sobre el azul oscuro del cielo y el negro asfalto contornea la imagen. Todo ello compone una bella fotografía.
Un abrazo.

It has a resemblance of Aussie summer

Ananka, no they're not all automatic here. Mine's a manual also. Those rolling hills are beautiful, endless. I've never been to eastern WA.
