This is one of two trunks from a large tree in a shady spot by the river. It's a great example of how things grow just about anyplace. There are two different kinds of moss growing out of the tree, and there are ferns galore growing out of the moss! All on the trunk of a tree!

This is such a cool find and it is honestly so amazing how nature just finds a way to grow literally anywhere, even on the side of a tree trunk lol do you think the ferns look like they are wearing the moss as a fuzzy little sweater because it looks so cozy and green have a beautiful and happy weekend and I actually just shared a new travel post that you are invited to read at www.melodyjacob.com
Your photo is a good example of symbiosis where plant species depend on each other to survive.
That is beautiful :-D
It’s a beautiful photo where nature blossoms in all its glory, turning a weathered tree trunk into a lush, thriving hanging "garden".
Gorgeous tree full of life. The tree has taken on a load.
