From another spot in the wetlands, in the late afternoon sky, a Great Blue Heron is showing his amazing 7 to 8-foot wingspan...

It took me a moment to see the Great Blue Heron. Our Herons have not returned this far north yet, but should show up in a few weeks. They will be a welcome sight when the ice on the lakes melts.

A quiet end to the day at the wetlands. There’s something so peaceful about seeing a Great Blue Heron winging its way across those stormy clouds. Excellent!
