Many people from around the world don't realize that the Pacific Northwest gets quite dry east of the Cascade Mountain Range. The eastern half of Oregon is largely high desert, and eastern Washington State is full of farms that require irrigation. We occasionally go to the "dry side," traveling along the Columbia River Gorge. Here is the first of a few October pictures from there. Tucked under some trees, here's an abandoned house that's seen better days...

How many life stories this abandoned house would have to tell.
Great photo!
It has a lot of history. Great photo :-D
It is sad to see abandoned farm houses as they represent the broken dreams of a family, and the failure of the farm. In many places this is a way of life that no longer exists.
Una zona en la que me gustaría disfrutar de días de fotografía y buenos paseos descubriendo viejas casas en ruinas. Me encanta este tipo de fotografías.

Dreams, Passion, History all in one frame! The house looks so beautiful. Thank you for sharing.
Nature is taking back that one and its secret histories. I've not visited the dry side for a very long time.
Pues si, esa casa debió vivir momentos muy interesantes antes de ser abandonada. La vida en medio de ese bosque debió de ser muy relajante.
Un abrazo.
