Some Springtime whimsy from nature-- Actually a twisty joke, in a way. This beautiful plant positively glows with green and yellow beauty. Unfortunately, Skunk Cabbage doesn't smell very nice, and that's why it's called Skunk Cabbage.

...perhaps that's why it adopted yellow as a signal color.

This plant looks great, and fortunately I can't smell it from here.

Sorpresa, sorpresa. Uno se acerca para oler esta bella flor y ... sorpresa. Me gusta mucho el tono que tiene el agua y me parece que a la flor le viene muy bien.
Abrazo

It is very beautiful Bill. Funny you post that today. I was at an animal park yesterday with my daughter and I took a photo of a lovely yellow plant in the pond and researched it and was told it was the self same one! Wasn't close enough to get a sniff though! :-D

It's pretty colour with nice leaves and good shaped flowers, such a pity it smells.
