This is the old wooden grain elevator in the ghost town of Boyd, Oregon. If you'd been there a hundred years ago, you would have seen a train siding on the right side. It looks a bit like a medieval armament, doesn't it...

These old style grain elevators are more sturdy than you might think. This elevator is a perfect subject for your b&w photo.

This is a hauntingly beautiful slice of forgotten history. The old grain elevator stands as a dramatic monument against the turbulent sky. By the way I have never been to a gosht town.
